Building new ideas, especially complex ones for businesses, can feel like a long and risky journey. Companies often face a lot of uncertainty, lengthy development times, and the worry of spending a lot of money before they even know if an idea will work. But what if you could actually see and use a working version of your solution very quickly?

At D-ARC Design, we're all about making new ideas happen faster. We know that feeling overwhelmed by too much information or difficult decisions isn't just a problem for one type of business; it's a common challenge everywhere. Think about how confusing and scary stock investing can be for everyday people. It's a perfect example of a situation where people get tired of making decisions, feel swamped by information, and often give up. This kind of widespread problem is exactly what D-ARC Design loves to solve, and it’s why we created Prototyper Express – our special service designed to quickly test out and show you what complex solutions look like, delivering working models (prototypes) in just two weeks.

The Problem We Saw: Getting Lost in the Investment World, and How 'Finstock' Addressed It

Even though more people are getting into investing, there are still big hurdles for most. Many people don't know enough about money, they're scared of the stock market going up and down, they get overwhelmed by too many stock choices, and they don't have much time for research. The numbers are pretty stark: over 70% of regular investors quit within their first year because they lose money or find it too complicated. And a surprising 60% make investment choices based on casual advice, not on real information. Traditional investing websites often throw too much at users, making it hard to understand. We saw a clear need for a simple, guided investing experience built for real people, not just experts. D-ARC Design noticed this big gap and proactively decided to tackle it ourselves through the development of 'Finstock' as an internal project to demonstrate our capabilities.

D-ARC Design's Fast Action: The Two-Week Adventure with 'Finstock' Begins

Our approach with Prototyper Express is all about quick action and truly understanding what people need. For our 'Finstock' internal initiative, the first week was a whirlwind of quick research and brainstorming. We started by imagining and "interviewing" different types of investors – from total beginners to people who knew a bit about finance – to quickly find out what frustrated them. At the same time, we quickly looked at popular investing platforms like Zerodha, Groww, and Smallcase to see what they were missing, such as difficult sign-up processes or a lack of clear explanations for their suggestions.

This fast research quickly revealed important things: users wanted clear suggestions, not long lists of stocks. Beginners were scared of losing money because they didn't understand enough. Complicated sign-up steps were a huge barrier. And while people were interested in smart computer (AI) suggestions, they didn't trust them without clear explanations. These insights immediately shaped our main design rules for 'Finstock': Keep It Simple, Make It Personal with AI (using simple questions to suggest stock groups that fit each person's risk), and Give Control, But Smart Control (allowing users to remove stocks they didn't like, but stopping them from adding random, risky ones). This fast, team-based thinking quickly led us to the main idea of smart computer-picked groups of stocks within 'Finstock', matched to what each person was comfortable with.

From Idea to Working Model: Week Two of 'Finstock' in Action

The second week of our Prototyper Express journey was super intense, turning our refined ideas for 'Finstock' into a real, working model. D-ARC Design used a mix of the newest tools and methods to work incredibly fast. We integrated smart computer design tools, such as Figma AI and Lovable, for quickly creating visual ideas, along with other tools for fast model building. Most importantly, we used a technique we call "Vibe Coding" to build a clickable model that truly felt like the real thing, showing how a user would actually experience what 'Finstock' provides.

This powerful combination allowed us to bring key features to life with amazing speed. The 'Finstock' prototype included a quick way to sign up, asking just 3-4 simple questions to figure out how much risk a person was okay with. Based on this, it showed smart computer-picked groups of stocks (AI-curated stock baskets), typically 10-20 stocks chosen based on different strategies (like aggressive, balanced, or safe). Users could customize these groups, removing stocks they didn't want, but they couldn't just add any new, unapproved stocks. We added "smart triggers" for automatically selling or getting alerts, and a real-time display showed how investments were doing, how much money was made, and details about each stock. This quick and focused way of working made sure the 'Finstock' model wasn't just a static picture, but a dynamic and interactive preview of the solution.

The Real Result: A Proven Prototype in 14 Days – Thanks to 'Finstock'

After two intense weeks, the result was a highly detailed, clickable working model: the 'Finstock' prototype. This real solution effectively solved the initial problem of investing being too complicated, showing how a guided and easy-to-use experience can make stock investing simple for everyday people.

The immediate feedback from our internal, practice testing of 'Finstock' was very convincing. A remarkable 94% of users signed up smoothly, with participants finding the 3-step risk quiz easy to understand and appreciating the clear path to their results. Furthermore, 81% found that the curated basket model significantly reduced the stress of making decisions. The real-time view and performance summary on the dashboard felt natural and easy to use, with 88% of users understanding the information without needing extra help. This quick testing even resulted in an excellent "simulated user happiness" score of 4.7 out of 5, based on direct comments about how clear, trustworthy, and easy to use 'Finstock' was.

Getting such a complete and proven working model so quickly underscores the huge value of D-ARC Design's Prototyper Express. It allows you to quickly test complex ideas, reducing the risk of big future spending by proving that your idea works before you invest a lot. It demonstrates our ability to "reimagine how regular investors interact with markets: confidently, smartly, and with clarity" through internal R&D projects like 'Finstock'.
